It is easy to root for him and participate in his urgency. Of course fills his charm and keeps the film from its flaws (and there are many!) Not least of which is a gaping plot holes and loose direction.The its audience in the theater seemed to have fun together crying and allowing yourself to be entertained and played with . There are a few funny scenes (intentionally or not). And the writing has already been said, has been copied by many, and was only a select few. The sequence dancing. Samuel L. Jacksons superlative monologuing. It is a loyalty to the low-lifes, and many other strange characters who are all bad and no one is a villain or a hero. Review: I have to say I am very surprised by the negative reviews I have read are. I am a big fan of the movie, go to the theater at least twice a week, if not more. Something about being able to sit in a dark room with a big screen and sound great. It's just good fun. Movies are nice, not all are real, and I think that's the point. If I wanted something realistic, I would see the documentary (which I do several times). I think many of the reviews are very unfair to this movie. Saw the original and loved it. Especially when I saw it as a child, scared the crap out of me. But we must remember that we are in a new era with different technologies and expectations. I bet if it was original, first released at this time, it would be shot down even more than this remake. Although I love the original, the effects do not scare me like before. Each character feels absolutely believable, no matter what skills they have on display. No cartoonish villains or cheese in sight to the problem of people who believe that they are the ones that are right shown and add the underlying message of tolerance and bigotry only to the depth of this film. If there is no genre-defining film as perhaps it's the comic book genre redefined. Restoring the sense of epic adventure and large-scale story that we saw in X2.
